Who is Raquel?

Raquel is interested in supporting her community, because she wants them to learn new things and improve their environment. She is passionate about helping her community members discover that they are capable of achieving great things. For example, the women whom she supported with the help of Peace First and the Australian Aid Program had never planted vegetables before. Raquel expresses her genuine excitement working with these women.

" They [the women] tell me that it was their first time planting vegetables, and they thought that it was not possible for them to harvest; but now that they are all in the harvest process, they tell me that they will continue planting more. That's super... Just as I want my community to learn new things, I also have the desire to learn more from them."
