My journey began in Apam, a vibrant yet underserved fishing community in the Central Region of Ghana. Growing up in an environment where potential is often overshadowed by a lack of resources, I witnessed firsthand the barriers that prevent young people from breaking the cycle of poverty. However, being born in Apam didn’t just show me the challenges; it gave me my “why.” It instilled in me a deep-rooted commitment to ensure that a child’s starting point in life does not determine their finish line.

My transition from a student at the University of Ghana, where I earned my degree in Health Services Administration and Psychology, to a social impact leader was fueled by the support I received as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar Alumna at CAMFED-Ghana. This scholarship was more than financial aid; it was a mandate to pay it forward.

Recognizing the gaps in digital literacy and mentorship in my community, I founded the Buoyant Future Foundation. Our mission is strategic and clear: to empower the next generation through education, digital literacy, mental health awareness, and entrepreneurship. We don’t just provide workshops; we build ecosystems of support. By focusing on human capital development, we are equipping youth with the 21st-century skills necessary to compete in a global economy. The impact of my work spans from grassroots initiatives to international diplomacy. Locally, as the General Secretary for the Gomoa West District CAMFED Association, I manage the governance and logistics that allow us to reach the most vulnerable girls and young women in our district. My role as an ICT Facilitator has allowed me to bridge the digital divide, ensuring that technology is a tool for liberation rather than another barrier to entry.

On a broader scale, I have stepped into the realm of international relations to advocate for youth-led policy. Serving as the Bloc Secretary for the Caribbean and Americas Region at the Model Commonwealth Summit 2025 was a pivotal moment. It allowed me to bring the perspective of a Ghanaian grassroots leader to a global stage, advocating for sustainable change that considers the unique needs of the Global South. What drives me every day is the concept of “Buoyancy”—the ability to rise despite the weight of circumstances. My commitment is reinforced by my roles as a fellow at Women Changemakers For Education and an Ambassador at the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation. These platforms have taught me that leadership is not about title or prestige; it is about service and the relentless pursuit of equity. I believe that Africa’s greatest resource is its youth. My passion is to continue fostering an environment where mental health is prioritized, digital skills are universal, and entrepreneurship is a viable path for all. Whether I am mentoring a student one-on-one or contributing to international policy discussions, my goal remains the same: to be a bridge.

I am not just building a foundation; I am building a legacy of empowered individuals who will, in turn, empower others. This journey of impact is far from over, and I am committed to every step of the transformation ahead.
