Mid Year Grantees
These Activation Grantees set the stage for the future of our grants program, and we remain inspired by their passion, creativity, and commitment.
Before introducing our new grantmaking approach, we proudly supported a cohort of Activation Grantees earlier this year. These young changemakers represent the heart of Peace First’s mission—taking bold steps to tackle pressing challenges in their communities. From advancing education and addressing mental health to fostering climate resilience and beyond, these leaders have utilized our general grants to launch projects that create meaningful impact locally and inspire global action.Their work demonstrates the transformative power of youth-led innovation and serves as a foundation for the more tailored approach we’ve introduced.

Changemaking in Action Grant
The Changemaking in Action Grant empowers young leaders to drive impactful projects in their communities while gaining real-world experience. Recipients receive resources, mentorship, and opportunities to lead, learn, and grow.
Meet Kenndicta A-ensonga Ajene, our Ghana Project Manager, who is spearheading the Ghana School Project for our new Changemaking Communities initiative. Through this grant, Kenndicta is gaining hands-on leadership experience while deepening her changemaking journey. Her work exemplifies the power of action, creating solutions, and inspiring others, as she transforms the Ghana School Project into a vibrant changemaking community. In this role, Kenndicta is not only driving meaningful impact in Ghana but also learning to foster new opportunities for collaboration and growth. Her ability to give changemakers a fresh perspective is empowering others to approach challenges with innovative solutions and a renewed sense of purpose.
Education Grant
As part of our new Changemaking Communities initiative, we awarded our first 5 educational grants to students, removing financial barriers so they can complete their education. These grants will cover the costs for students to finish school and continue their academic journey. Our hope is that these grants not only promote education but also foster a changemaking mindset in the students, empowering them to create positive impact in their communities.
